I like the new navigation gestures with the one bar in the middle but I think it would be visually better to have the navigation bar in the middle appear by itself without the background chin at the bottom that surrounds it when you open an app.
I think it is because if they do it like this, there would be absolutely no differentiation from the iPhone, and google/Samsung doesn't want to be the exact same as the iPhone.
I've been wanting things to be like this for the Samsung gesture hints since they introduced them. At least this bar is black which hides itself next to the bottom bezel.
