Since the S10 phones dont have a led notification,  in the edga lighting there should be an option for a ring around camera that will flash every few minutes letting you know you have a message, missed call,  etc

Without having  to use the AOD (always on display) and without having to download another app to do it

there is, only the Beta Updates caused it to not work currently.

But Edge Lighting+ only notifies you once with a ring around the camera cutout.

There are other apps that will do the same in the Play Store, Holey Light etc.

I agree 100% with the OP ... until they get their act together and I corporate one natively... AOD Notify is by far the best one I have used... highly recommend giving it a shot 👍

I think he meant it needs to work without downloading a third party app and I totally agree. I love my S10+ but give us some options to work with especially with having so many features. $1000 phone Sammy, I expect options for all these features.

Edge lighting+ is made by Samsung.
