Hi. Recently I've been playing audio files via the Samsung Music app on my galaxy s10. One problem I'm encountering whenever i add a file/song is that it doesn't appear in the unless i edit and save the filenames in the My Files app. Then it appears in the music app and i can play it. Is there a reason behind this? It doesn't matter where i place these files, be it /Download/, /Documents/, /Music/ e.t.c. unless i rename it the file wont be accessable from the music app. Any clues as to why this can be?

Where did the songs came from? If it doesn't appear on the Samsung Music app, just move the file from one place to another, or return it to its place, or just simply renaming it. It's a common occurence from newly downloaded files.

Hi Q_e! Try this:

Go to My files > Settings > Turn on Show hidden files > Then look for a (.nomedia) file in Internal storage and delete it. Let me know how this goes! 🎶

Had the same issue. My fix was to rename the folder the files were in, instead of each missing file. Then all the files appeared in the Samsung music app.
