Galaxy tab S8+ Book Cover Keyboard Slim Arrow key Scrolling

Is it just mine, or the arrow keys on the Book cover keyboard slim do not work well for scrolling on apps like Samsung notes, Facebook and alike?

Are there settings for this? Upcoming updates?

Thank you for reaching out to us in order to find out if there's a way to restore the arrow keys on the Book cover keyboard slim not working for scrolling in apps like Samsung Notes, Facebook, etc.

We are here to guide and provide you with quick fixes and offer resolutions to your worries.

Following are some basic steps to take in order to get started working again.

A) Ensure that your device is up-to-date with the latest Software updates.

Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Download and install > Follow on-screen notifications/messages.

B) Hardware Check-up :

1) Clean the tablet screen with soft cloth to remove oil, grime, etc.

2) Check the screen protector, if still fit to the screen and there is no overlap.

3) Check for the book cover if its not impedes the operability of your tablet.

C) Close all apps running in the background. 

Step 1. From Front Screen tap Apps button.
Step 2. Scroll left and tap Settings.
Step 3. Tap 'More' tab
Step 4. Application manager
Step 5. Running
Step 6. Select the application you wish to stop
Step 7. Force stop

D)  Wipe Cache Partition

Step 1. Turn off your phone.
Step 2. Plug in the USB cable via PC or Type-C earphones (in case its USB-C to USB-C).
Step 3. Then press and hold Power and Volume up buttons.
Step 4. Release the power button. When the recovery screen shows up, release the volume up button.
Step 5. Navigate to and select Wipe cache partition (Volume up and down is for highlighting options and power is to select).
Step 6. Navigate to and select Yes.
Step 7. Press the power button to select Reboot system now.

E) Run the Diagnostic Tools under Samsung Members app

Step 1. Run Samsung Members and select Get help on the lower half of the screen.

Step 2. Tap View Tests located under Diagnostics.

Step 3. Diagnostics checks, Tap Sensor / Touchscreen

Step 4. Your Galaxy phone will then run through the checks.

Step 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the check.

Step 6. You can view your results after the check is complete.
