Issue with app screen time in Digital Wellbeing

Sometimes my phone would record screen time for some apps even when they are not open/in use (they are running in the background). I woke up 2 hrs ago but my phone is saying that I had been using [app] for 5 hrs lmao. Hope u get this fixed. This isn't the first time this is happening. I have logged a report before. Thanks.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:
 
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
 
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
 
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
 
Step 4. Reset your device.
 
Close running apps in the background
 
1) You have to option to select the individual apps and close it one by one.
2) Or check the apps running the background through the Settings and close them.
