Remote Service- Save yourself a trip to a service centre

What is Remote Service?

Samsung Remote Service enables one of our specially trained customer service agents to remotely view and control your Samsung smartphone or tablet to directly help you with your product.

 

Services provided

  • Data transfer, backup and restore
  • New features advice
  • Software and application updates
  • Account settings (Samsung/Google™/email/etc.)

 

Using Remote Service on Phone or Tablet

Step 1. Open the Samsung Members app.

Step 2. Tap Support.

Step 3.
Scroll down to Quick help section and tap Remote support.

Step 4.
Tap Download then Install (if you don't have Smart Tutor installed).

Step 5.Tap Open.

 

Step 6. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions if you agree with them.

Step 7. If you are prompted to install an update, please do so by following the on-screen instructions.

Step 8. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to contact customer service directly.

Step 9. Contact us through the number provided on screen. Tell the call agent that you want to use Remote Service.

 

Step 10. Insert the 6-digit PIN code provided by the agent.

Step 11. You are now connected to the Remote Support Service!

 

Using Remote Service on TV

Step 1. Contact our customer service hotline at 1800-SAMSUNG (1800-7267864) and tell the agent you would like to use Remote Service for your TV.

Step 2. 

For Standard remote control- Press MENU button and select Remote Management under Support.

For Smart touch remote- Press MORE button and then select Remote Management under Support.

Step 3. Share the 8-digit PIN that appears on your TV with the call agent. For your security, a single PIN can only be used once by an agent for Remote Service.

Step 4. You are now connected to Remote Service and the agent can assist you accordingly.

I understand that this is common problem due to product defect after software upgrade. Do I need to pay for the screen change?
