A while ago I was looking for a good qualitySmart Gimbals for my Galaxy Phone. There are a lot of brands to buy from:DJI Osmo Mobile Series and other affordableChinese Brands. Both of them have their own app to be used for their tracking features, but what disappoints me is that they can't fully utilize the Galaxy Phone Cameras unlike Apple.
As you can see from their compatibility list below, Apple has given the 3rd-parties accessibility to their camera system, which is why the max. video resolution is at 4k60fps all the way to the iPhone 8. Meanwhile on Samsung, most only able to do at 4k30fps max. Samsung has to step up their camera accessibility if they want to be in the video recording game.
With that in mind, I would probably go for a plain gimbal that doesn't need an app.
