Hi,

I am writing here because the Samsung Support Phone didn't help.

After 1 month, the matte graphite painting of my new Flip 5 is peeling off in 2 specific spots, even using your official silicon case.

The rest of the phone is pristine.
I think is a painting QC issue, BUT samsung support and its on site support affiliates Mentech.dk thinks is a wear and tear issue.

You can check the pictures attached, but again, it is quite strange that ONLY in the 2 back corner this behaciours is happening.

Please, help me.IMG_0108.jpegIMG_0109.jpegIMG_0110.jpeg

Yikes!  I guess using a case might help. 😉

That's a manufacturing issue. They should fix it. Tell them that's it's impossible to be a wear and tear especially with a case for a 1 month phone. Also, many people like me don't use a case on my 1 yr flip 4 and it's not even peeling off.

Peeling off is only possible if scrub by a hard object

By the way, why your phone has that "ce, ukca and recycle logo at the back. Samsung has removed that a long time ago.

I think is Europe the logo is still present? Many of the one I've seen has it them, sadly.

Hey, thank you for the reply.
A quick update:

I went on Mentech in Frederiksberg here in Copenhagen, the official support for Samsung in Denmark, and they told me it is not covered by the standard warranty because for them is wear and tear.
Is it possible to have Samsung directly involved in this one?
Or how can I do it?

Hey simplyfabio, welcome to the Philippines!

Apologies if you got lost - sometimes our phones think we're in other places and put us in different subs!

The paint peeling off can either be a manufacturing defect, or a chemical reaction from something your phone might have touched, or even just plain ol' friction.

Thankfully though, it appears the damage is purely cosmetic. I would advise that you bring it to a Samsung Service Center near your area so our techs can assess the damage, and what caused it.
