SupportHas anyone encountered a sudden green bar on top, on the bar at the right side of the camera? When i changed my them to dark and lowered the brightness it seems that my phone is dark green on the left side and light green on the right side. I was just watching youtube when the green bar appeared.i tried to restart and turn my phone off but the green bar wont disappear. It disappeared after more than 1 hr. This happened as well 3 days ago. And the only thing that i updated back then was the UI to UI 5 and changed the always on display to a gif of a cat moving a ball.

Hi everyone. I was not able to see that there were responses to my post here. To give an update, i agree to your observation, the green light did disappear when the powersaver is on. Fortunately, i had my phone set to sleep mode every 12mn and i noticed that the green light disappeared. Through that, i was able to isolate the setting that allows me to remove the green light. It was the refresh rate. If i changed it from 120ghz to 60ghz, it would disappear. However, given that i paid for a top of the line phone, it does not sit right with me that i had to settle on a 60hz refresh rate. And similar to your experience, it did happen after the UI update. I gathered evidences that this happened worldwide and i pushed for a replacement since they only wanted to replace the screen which i think was not the issue given that the greenlight was disappearing when i tweak the refresh down. They were saying that that is to be expected on a gadget. I told them that for a top of the line, i am not expecting it to break within 1 yr . They also said that if it was samsung's fault, then everyone would be experiencing it. They said that they had tested the phone before releasing it to the market. I told them that yes, they did test it with a previous version of UI. But they were not able to stress test it with a newer version apparently because now we are experiencing this. I also told them that i dont care if only the minority are experiencing this. The fact that this is not an isolated case, means there are something wrong with some batch of phones they released. Eventually, i was able to track someone from the top management and he agreed to replace my phone instead of what the CS was suggesting: screen replacement with 6mos extended warranty with a promise of replacement if i experience the same problem within the extended warranty.
