SupportMy brand new S23 FE bought from my NZ carrierSpark is useless for calling where I live in Te Teko, New Zealand. Signal strength is marginal but I cannot turn off VoLTE which means that my calls are dropping out or I have callers telling me they cant hear me. I recognized the problem as VoLTE because my old S8 had that trouble but at least it had the option to turn off VoLTE.
I have raised this with Spark who directed me to Samsung who tried to tell me it was an issue with Spark. Eventually after a few callback they decided to escalate the issue and gave me a number to quote 2398496713 ..
This is inability to disable VoLTE seems specific to the latest Samsung mobilesand means that I will be dumping them. I will be returning the phone for a full refund. It is not capable of doing what I was told it could do .. make phone calls. I will be advising everyone I know to dump Samsung phones asap. I see this issue was raised a year ago regarding the S22 and nothing has happened. Even selecting 4G does not disable VoLTE and if I sect 3G I will have almost nil data throughput.

SupportHi, I am from Malaysia also facing the same issue (unable to turn of VoLTE) after the new update of my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I have reported to Samsung Malaysia by call them, they tried to access to my phone remotely but unable to turn off the VoLTE. They said the update is from the main Samsung and they just mentioned to wait for new update. I hope the new update provide option to turn on/off VoLTE. Yesterday my friend bought Samsung S23 Ultra and found that his phone got option for turn on/off VoLTE becauce his phone haven't updated yet (I insert my simcard to his Samsung S23 Ultra and try call by turn off VoLTE found that no issue with hearing voice from both side). Now my Samsung S23 Ultra is useless for calling, only option is call by using whatsapp call. Samsung requires take serious action to solve this issue by providing option for turn on/off VoLTE. FYI, the only option for me to use call is by switching my Mobile Network mode to 3G/2G each time for call and then change back to 5G/LTE/3G/2G for better internet speed.
