Warranty and Samsung Care+

Hi! I bought a samsung s24 ultra with free samsung care+ for 6months. I received an email the day I got my phone and it stated the validity that is 6months. Is it the same as warranty? Does it mean my phones' warranty is only 6 months? I thought it is additional 6months after 1year warranty. Kindly enlighten me please.

Care + is for accidents. It activates after you get your device. Which is really good because you said its live on the same day. You're covered by the terms in the links. Please go read them. Device warranty is 1 year and is separate from Care +. Warranty covers manufacfuring defects like display dead pixels, issues that may arise brought about by manufacturing. This doesn't cover accidents like breaking your screen if you drop your phone (Care+)

How lucky yours is covered from Day 1. I also pre ordered online but when I followed up they said I need to wait 15 to 30 days from date of purchase for activation. 🥲

I think later is better since the coverage date will also move, unless you dip your phone into water or broke it within 15days...
