what is telephonyui?

would like to know what is the exact meaning of: Used com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui? is this the same as incallui? i often see this Used com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui on my boyfriend's  google activity and i was just wondering if he is calling someone or someone called him? i'm just confused because he is a seafarer and wondering if there is a signal in the middle of the ocean (he's working in a platform particularly with shell) i googled the meaning of telephonyui and saw some answers and it's pertaining to calls.  please enlighten me

It's the calling screen UI.

its what you see when making a call

just like what i have said earlier, i'm confused that he can make a call in the middle of the ocean? as far as i know there is no signal there. for wifi yes but for a regular call i doubt. correct me if i'm wrong

The Com Samsung Android App TelephonyUI on your Samsung phone is the package name given to the user interface that appears on your Android Phone app when a phone call comes in and you device rings.
