My Tablet A9 is not charging which suggests (to me) that I need to replace the battery - is this an issue that others have experienced. My tablet doesn't get a lot of use - so I haven't tried to charge it in quite some time.

Any suggestions as to where I can take my Tablet A9 to have someone check that it is the battery - and install a new one if it indeed needs to be replaced.

It could be a charging port issue. But you're right it is best to have it assessed first.

Have a peek here:
https://www.samsung.com/au/support/?cid=sea-alert-redir

There's a way you can request for an assessment/repair at the bottom.

Good luck 😊

the battery might’ve dropped below safe voltage, but before heading to a service centre, try:

* Open Samsung Members > Support > Diagnostics
* Run Battery status and Charging tests

If it shows battery issues or still won’t charge, take it to your nearest Samsung Authorised Service Centre:

My most frequent problem is the charging cables (or their wall plugs) becoming faulty. Cables specs vary tremendously so it is worth getting a new cable and possibly a new plug aim for specs with minimum 20 Watts upward. If you want to read up Google Wikipedia and then charging cables. For Samsung devices use Play Store and load an app called Ampere (free) which measures your charging rate.
