Would it be possible to add a feature that automatically switches from the slideshow mode to the normal clock mode when in a dark room or at a certain time? I know that Google Nest Hubs do that and it would be a great feature to have. I also wish there was more customisation options in general for Daily Board like changing the accent colours and how long each image is displayed in the slideshow.

No I am not talking about Google Slides, I am talking about the Daily Board feature on Samsung tablets that acts similar to a Nest Hub.

I continued to look for things that might help you. Not much luck but I suggest you look at Goohle Assistant commands by Gopgling all Google Assistany commands. Note Gopgle Assistant can operate when there is a locked display. Odd things I/you can do are set alarms and activate apps. I have used the command ok google open app Opera (my browser) so try, for instance, open app clock at 6am, but I have not rested this..

Also in Samsung look up Sleep under Wellness. Also known elsewhere as Android Bedtimemode
