On screen keyboard and bluetooth mouse

Hi  . I have a S7-fe tablet and love it but want to know if its normal for the on-screen keyboard to stay hidden when I have a bluetooth mouse paired up.

When i disconnect the mouse everything works fine. ( im not using Dex )

Yes. If you don't want this to happen, go to

Settings > General Management > Physical Keyboard > Toggle "Show on-Screen Keyboard" on.

Oh, is it when the Keyboard or the mouse is connected that the tablet does not show the on screen keyboard?

Yes, you can choose to have it hidden or to have it shown.

I have a Galaxy Tab A8. When using a bluetooth mouse I cannot bring up the tab's Samsung screen keyboard in MS Word.

I can finger-touch the screen in any part of the document to bring up the keyboard, but when using the mouse, clicking on only the header and footer parts of Word brings up the keyboard.

Could you please try using a different mouse to see if it works?

My bluetooth mouse functions perfectly. I think it's an android inability issue.
