Yeah. Maybe just a dirt or a dried-up liquid substance on your front glass. Thats my experience.

Hello DanesTan,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your issue with your Samsung Galaxy Tablet A7 Lite touch screen.

It must be really frustrating, and totally feeling discomfort while typing, but don't worry, we are here to help.

Before we begin, remove all non-Samsung certified screen protectors, cases, or any other accessory that may be touching the screen. Make sure the touchscreen is dry and clean. The screen may not recognize touches but end up selecting else instead through gloves or extremely dry and chapped fingers.

What follows are some of the basic steps to rectify the problem.

1) Restart your device.

Press and hold the Power key, and then tap Restart.

2) Check your charger. If your charger is damage, it may not supply power to your device, which may cause the touch screen to malfunction. It's also a good idea to avoid using the touchscreen when the device is charging.

3) Check for Software updates.

Settings > About Device > Software Updates > Download, if available > Install > Follow on-screen notifications.

4) Optimize device performance.

The Device care feature will improve your tablet's overall performance by scanning for wasted storage space and other potential issues. Navigate to and open Settings. Tap Device care, and then tap Optimize now.

5) Disable Touch sensitivity.

If the Touch sensitivity setting is turned on when no protective film is used, the touchscreen may respond too sensitively and therefore malfunction. To disable the Touch sensitivity feature, navigate to Settings, tap Display, and then tap the switch next to Touch sensitivity to turn it off.

Note: The Edge Touch screen areas may not work properly due to the touch sensitivity may be weakened as this area is narrowed due to finger contact with the bezel part. It is not a device defect but a normal operation by design structure.

6) Reboot the tablet in Safe Mode.

Booting your Samsung Galaxy device in safe mode is also another option to find out if the screen still flickers or not. Safe mode is like a diagnostic tool to help identify the problems on your device.

Step 1: Turn off your device then power on.

Step 2: When the Samsung logo appears by itself, press and hold the Volume down key.

Step 3: The device will switch on in Safe mode. Safe mode will be displayed on the bottom left of the screen.

If the screen works in safe mode, an app is most likely causing your issue. Remove recently downloaded apps one by one until the problem is fixed. If the problem persists when your device is running in Safe mode, the problem might not be related to an app.

To exit safe mode, restart your device.

7) Back up and Factory Reset.

A factory reset, also known as a hard reset or master reset, is an effective, last resort method of troubleshooting for mobile phones. It will restore your phone to its original factory settings, erasing all your data in the process. Because of this, it's important to back up the information before you do a factory reset.
