I bought a Samsung phone because of the anticipated relationship between Samsung and Microsoft.

As a happy user of Samsung Notes on my Galaxy phone I am perplexed as to why the Windows app will only function if my PC is a Samsung Book

Having invested in Samsung for perceived interoperability benefits I know find a 'closed platform' approach which is not only disappointing but causes me to consider moving away from Samsung all together

I implore Samsung to reconsider their choice in this regard

Not an ideal solution but if you are trying to stay within the Samsung/Microsoft ecosystem you can sync Notes to OneNote.  But yeah, agree that locking down certain Windows apps to Samsung laptops is a pain. Especially when they are not even selling them in Australia!

Yeah, I'd gladly get a Samsung laptop if it weren't for the fact they aren't in my country

Have you tried running Android apps via Windows (Windows 11) ?

It's a nice idea but the emulator does not sync notes to my PC (although I can copy and paste typed from individual notes)

The more important question is why would Samsung make a windows app only for a Samsung PC. Clearly the audience for such an app has a liking for Samsung, and most likely has bought a Samsung phone. Such a decision is a brand turn-off IMO

I should also have mentioned that Samsung laptops and computers aren't sold in Australia, making this "ecosystem" strategy even more difficult to fathom
