Samsung Second Screen

Hi,

The second screen app on my Samsung Galaxy tablet has stopped working since the last Samsung software update I carried out in the last couple of days.

It initially connects to my PC OK but when I try to run it, the Second Screen app just shuts down without warning, before I see a second screen.

Is there a fix for that?

Hey geoco, would you mind trying this for us and see if Second Screen pops up again?

1) Open Smart View from notification panel
2)Press 3 dots on top left corner to go to Smart view settings
3)Them press on about Smart View
4)Then press on the big smart view text about 5 - 7 times
4)Now smart view developer options will open and at the bottom will be a option to start second screen.

Thanks for the reply.

I got to

"press on the big smart view text about 5 - 7 times"

and nothing happens, no matter how many times I press the text.

I've never seen an instruction to tap something "5-7 times" before, is this something new?

What are the 5-7 presses trying to do, and why wouldn't a double or single tap do?

Is another another, more conventional, way to access "developer options"?

Hi,

I managed to enable developer options by doing a search for it in the search bar.

But I can't find second screen in the developer options list.

Please help.

Same. Second screen option does not exist in Quick Settings.

Very frustrating. This is one of the reasons why I bought this tablet.

Hi, I have a very similar problem. I can open Second Screen on PC and Tablet. PC can detect my Tab but when I try to connect, the Tablet screen goes blank for about 5 seconds and then I get kicked out back to my home page and the PC states ' cannot connect'
I have restarted both PC and Tab, reinstalled Second Screen on PC but the problem persists.
I have windows 11, Samsung Tab 8 Ultra with latest OS.
