Tablets
My Samsung tablet s9 ultra is getting an error message when I plug in the charge lead, it says "warning: unplug charger immediately " , "we've detected moisture or foreign material in your charging/USB port"
I've returned to Samsung 3 times and the error doesn't happen for them.
I've purchased a new charging lead. Sometimes it will work OK for a few months and then the message appears again and i cant charge my tablet anymore.
Sometimes the error will happen and I unplug and and plug back in and it is fine.
Has anyone had this happen?

The obvious comment is to check your environment, is it humid, change charging cable?, close to window which collects interior humidity? I dkn't have the skill set to advise more but suggest Googling as you will get more answers there. Point an unheated slow fan at disconnected cable connection and port. That's what I did to help when I dropped my phone in dishwashing sink.

Thankyou, I've checked for humidity issues and even left the new cable connected to the tablet and disconnected from the charger side instead, but got the error again this morning. But then disconnected and reconnected and it went away. It's very random.
I will try google too

As a guide, when a device is guaranteed to have water protection to certain depths etc. there is a barrier in the port to prevent/reduce leakage into the phone. The reason for the warning is that the area you plug your cable into could still be moist and cause a short circuit, there could, of course be loose wiring or other reasons, but that is the prime reason for the warning.
