It's worth it to buy the Tab S8. I also like the Tab S7.

List down all your considerations first. Then choose a compromise. For me it was a choice between Fold 4 or Tab S8. I went for the much bigger and better screen. And bonus amazing near field speakers. Plus all the cost savings and free book cover. I must admit I don't really need a tablet but the S8 Ultra is such a technology showcase all the deals made it a sweet purchase. Free home delivery, too in just 4 working days.

Tab S7 is still a premium model so even if it is an older model to S8 it still offers a great specs at a cheaper price.

You just need to assess on what specs you will personally need and most importantly how much are you willing to spend in getting a tablet.

If you can get the S7 Plus (not the S7FE), it was last year's flagship for a cheap price, then go for it. If the price difference is just minimal, go for the S8

Hey Marianne! Happy to see you reaching out for suggestions ♥ That's what we're here for!

So, you're choosing between the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S8 for your first tablet. Here's a few things you need to consider:

1. Purpose

Both tablets are productivity machines and come with S Pen support. If you're using this for work and/or school, then both devices are going to be perfect for it!

2. Future proofing

Since the Tab S7 series came earlier, it will lag behind the Tab S8 when it comes to software updates. But don't worry - the Tab S7 will still be supported with more updates in the future, ensuring that you can still use it for years to come! But if you don't want to worry about being left behind in updates, choose the S8 series!

3. Hardware

I don't want to bore you with details, so here's a helpful guide from Tom's Guide: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 vs Galaxy Tab S7: What's the difference? | Tom's Guide (tomsguide.com)

(Bottom line: the Tab S8 comes with features absent on the Tab S7, such as auto-tracking and better cameras -- great for video calls!)

4. Price

At the end of the day, this is what it comes down to, right? Think really hard about how much you want to shell out, because there's a huge gap in pricing between the two devices. They may look alike visually, but there are tons of features in the Tab S8 that is well-worth the price jump. (I mean --- a wireless charging dock for the S Pen built INTO the S8 is nothing to sniff at!)

Hope this helps you out in your decision. Do let us know through a post when you finally make a choice!

I took advantage of the 6k discount voucher last month and bought an S7 FE WiFi instead of an S8 WiFi and I am very happy with the decision I made. At the end of the day, you should base your decision on what you're intending to use the tablet for.
