is there a way I can update my samsung galaxy tab a 10.1 (SM-T510) to android 12? I'm pretty sure the tablet is discontinued for updates it may not be though I really want android 12 !
You will probably find wikipedia the best source of info on your tablet.
However, I think you are on a loser trying to do this. As phones/tablets evolve through different models there are, over time, significant changes to hardware.
I googled samsung tab a alternative android systems (do this yourself to identify comments on this concept). One comment indicated that they had installec a bare bones version but that's not what you are looking for, is it?.
Play Store will be no use because it filters software apps to specific model numbers (Play Store varies its software content by model and country). Which is why a model bought in Hong Kong won't update in Australia if the model does not meet Australian criteria. Plus in this case the hardware won't match Australian hardware 5G requirements, limiting coverage to 4G. Even that would be problematic because some 3G frequencies have changed from 3G to 4G and won't be available. Does your tablet work through wi-fi or sim? VoLTE is unlikely to be available (phones,whether spec'd to 4G, were designed to use 3G for actual pho😂ne calls.. I think the project is interesting as a way of exploring a phone's capabilites but otherwise impractical for this model. The tablet may still be used for wi-fi/hotspotting through a hotspot on another phone.
