I’ve been missing my Samsung-related activities lately, so I thought I’d share a quick review of my Galaxy Tab S10 FE after using it as my phone for more than a month!

It’s a bit ironic because I’m not really a tablet person. In my field, we rely heavily on laptops, but since my phone decided to give up on me (and, yes, I’m still saving up for a new one), I’ve been using the tablet as my main device. To my surprise, I’ve realized just how helpful and efficient tablets can be!

First off, let’s talk about the fast charging and impressive battery life. This thing lasts a full 24 hours, or even longer if I take breaks! I’ve been using it daily on campus for three weeks now, and there hasn’t been a moment where I needed to charge it.

I’ve been using this tablet literally as my phone. It’s served as my notebook, my gateway to my school portal, and my go-to device for binge-watching movies and series during breaks. Honestly, it’s been great so far!

The only struggle I have is with texting and calling. I’m a slow typist, and my friends love to tease me about how long it takes me to send a message. Plus, everyone on the jeepney can see what I’m doing, and taking calls can feel a bit loud in public. This whole experience is motivating me to get a new phone, but the savings are a slow climb thanks to college expenses 🙄. I keep telling myself, “Just a little longer!” (Fingers crossed I can get a good phone before Christmas!)

As for the apps I’ve installed, they’re pretty basic. A few social media apps are enough to get me through the day. I’ll admit, using my e-wallets can make me a bit anxious, especially when I have to type my PIN in public. Thank goodness for biometrics! I’m also thinking about downloading some games to see if they drain the battery faster.

When it comes to the camera, I’m not really into selfies, but I gave it a shot with a friend, and I was pleasantly surprised! The quality is decent, although it’s definitely a bit large for selfies (you should’ve seen me struggling taking the first photo!). Good lighting is a must for those great shots!

So, if you’re wondering if this tablet is a good daily driver, I’d say yes—about 80% yes! The remaining 20% comes from the fact that it lacks privacy and is a bit too big to be a true phone. But honestly, it’s been a fun ride so far!

Is it a bit too heavy or not portable unlike your old phone to carry everywhere after a month of daily driving it? (Just asking)

I have to say, I find the device a bit heavy and not super portable, which can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. Like, when I need to text someone while I’m out, I have to dig it out of my bag and open it like a book, which isn’t always the easiest. Most of the time I'm carrying it like a book! But honestly, maybe I’m just used to it, but using it as my daily driver has been going pretty well so far! I think it helps that I mostly use it for school stuff. My daily routine these days is pretty simple, just school and home, school and home. I don't do much in life so far so 🤷🏻 hahaha

(but I can't imagine using this as my daily driver for long, no sim slot! I've been relying on messaging apps, gave my sim to my mom just incase I receive important messages/calls, that's why I need buy a new phone soon! I forgot to talk about it, i guess that's minus 10%! hahaha)

But, u have calls and text on other devices on your mom's phone right and connected to your tablet? (So you can still make and recieve calls on the tablet)

Yes, I did! I can still get calls and messages here. I mostly use apps like Messenger to stay in touch since I have a portable wifi and I prefer buying load for that. I just need the sim to keep me updated on my online orders. It’s a bit of a bummer, though, because I feel like they can see all my calls and messages. But hey, it works for now!

So, how long will you make it as an daily driver before getting a new phone?
