I've used the S23 Ultra on a tripod in Expert RAW astro mode over a few nights, but can't seem to find the best settings.

This is the best photo I've been able to capture and it needed a lot of tweaks to even look like this.

Focus should be on auto. It seems manual focus is very finicky

I don't know about s23, but on s21 the manual focus should be a tad before infinitely. To get the best focus.

When you focus on the pro n
Or exper raw apps you shooting see a green colour showing what is contrasty in the scene that should be what's in focus as you get closer to Infinity pay attention to how much green in stars you want a lot! If you go too far it will be less. If you can't see the thing you want to take a photo of line the stars find something else that's really far away at ground level like a city or something in distance and use that instead.
