Did you know, when you edit a picture or video on your device, a copy of the original is kept for the sake of you wanting to return to the original? If you're happy with the edit and no longer need original its best to delete it from its hidden folder as it takes up the amount of room as original. Let's say its a 800mb video and you editit down to 600. The original 800 is still there. So effectively you are taking up 1400mb of storage.
To delete. Go to Device Care. Open storage and in the centre youre given option. To "not now" or review. Find option for hidden copies of original pics and vids. Tap review and you can go through all those hidden files taking up space and delete them. You still keep your prefered edited version. Original is gone. Then clear your recycle bin.
You will be surprised how much storage you will retrieve if you have never done this.
