The USIM card holds your subscriber information and allows your device to connect to your mobile network. If you're setting up a new Galaxy Z Fold or Flip device, or replacing your SIM card, it's important to insert it properly to avoid damaging the SIM tray. Please follow the steps below to safely insert a USIM card into your Galaxy Fold7 and Z Flip7.

Note:

  • Be careful not to insert the SIM card upside down.
  • Forcing the tray into the device when the SIM card is not firmly seated may cause the tray to bend or break.
  • Always check the orientation before inserting it back into the device.

Note: The orientation of the Single SIM and Dual SIM models may differ. Please align the hole of the tray with the hole of the device to ensure a match.

Note:

  • Use only Nano-SIM cards. Other sizes or modified SIMs may damage your device.
  • If the Nano-SIM card is not inserted correctly or an unsupported SIM card is used, an error message may appear on your device and may cause damage to the device.
  • Make sure the SIM card is fully seated in the tray. If it's loose, it might not be recognized by the device.
  • Do not insert the tray if it is wet. Always ensure both the tray and device are dry before installation.
  • The ejection pin must be inserted perpendicularly (straight in) to avoid damaging the internal mechanism.
  • You can activate the SIM card to use and customize the SIM card settings. Select the Settings and in the Connections menu, tap SIM manager.
