Tips & TricksYou can set the time that you want your washing machine to finish your wash. You can choose a delay of between 3 to 19 hours in 1-hour increments. The hour displayed indicates the time when the cycle will finish. To check your exact model, consult your user manual.
For example, if you wanted to finish a 2-hour cycle an hour later you could begin the cycle at 2:00 and have it finish by 5:00. Effectively the start of the wash is delayed, creating a delayed end.
Using the SmartThings App
The SmartThings app allows you to control your washing machine and other smart appliances remotely and at your convenience. To use SmartThings you will need a smart Samsung appliance, a connection to Wi-Fi and a phone or tablet with the SmartThings app downloaded. For more information about Smart appliances read our FAQ on how to use SmartThings.
- Load your washing machine and input detergent and washing aids before beginning.
- Open the SmartThings app.
- On Devices Tap on the washing machine icon.
- Tap on the cycle displayed to open the available cycles.
- Chooese your desired cycle.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Laundry Planner.
Please note: The laundry planner option will not display if Smart Control is not on. To turn Smart Control on, press the Smart Control button. The Smart Control symbol will display on the washing machine screen.

Tips & TricksThis only lets you set an end time.
The ability to set a start time would be very useful, please consider adding this in future.
Example use cases:
- In the evening you want to set up the wash to start in the morning and for it to finish as soon as possible. It might estimate 6 hours before it measures the load, but actually the wash+dry is shorter so even if you try to estimate the desired end time it will always be off anyway.
- If you have cheap rate electricity at a certain time, you want to to start immediately when that cheap rate starts.

Tips & TricksI was unpleasantly surprised to find out that I cannot set a start timer but just end timer. I want a start timer with delays 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes up to 24 hours. Just as same as electrolux machines have. Why reinvent the wheel? Honestly if I knew there is not this option, I would never buy it. Sorry but this is a completely fail for a modern washing machine from 2024. Please do a proper UX research.
