Recently purchased new QA85QN900XXY TV and out of the box I've had issues. The TV although connected to the internet doesn't have any apps, wont allow me to access smart hub, wont allow me to sign in samsung account, cant access Netflix, browser or amazon prime for the remote.

When I try to sign into Samsung account It comes up with a SSO 1000 error, unable to connect to the Samsung server. Check your network settings and try again. If i select the new account option it comes up with error - unable to connect to Samsung server Try again later.

If I perform a smart hub connection test steps 1 to 4 pass which indicates that the TV can access the internet, no isp blocking and can communicate with Samsung server but a I get an error ERR4001, Samsung apps panel/an unexpected problem has occurred.

I've searched the issue and have tried the following fixes but none of them have worked and the problem persists;

  1. Try connect to internet via mobile hotspot. Did this issues not resolved no apps no smart hub etc
  2. Reset smart hub – did this didn’t solve the issue
  3. Reset the tv – did this didn’t solve the issue
  4. Update the software – latest software on tv although US seems to have a later version released on 03/09 but not sure how to access this or if it can be installed on AU TV
  5. Connect via wifi not wired connection – did this didn’t resolve the issue
  6. Change DNS to google 8.8.8.8 – did this didn’t resolve the issue
  7. Change my password to Samsung account as it could be a “weak” password – did this didn’t resolve the issue
  8. Check internet speed as slow speed could be the causative – did this we have symmetrical 300mb up and down service fixed fiber so cant be a speed issue

If someone could please help as I've tried Samsung phone support/care multiple times only to be told that a level 2 technician needs to asses the issue and will call me back, after several attempts and promises a technician has never called me back.

Please help!

Thanks

This might be an obvious one, but did you try resetting the TV by holding the power button on the remote until the TV reboots?

My issue RESOLVED.

After all the resets etc. All I did was remove the wildcard character from my Wifi network key

Connection to Samsung account and Smarthub all ok now. no SSO1000 or ERR4001
