Active Voice Amplifier (AVA)

Does the Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) feature on a q80a 65 inch tv work when using a sound bar or only through the TV speakers?

I hope this feature will help amplify the voice dialog to overcome background music and sounds, but will using a sound bar disable this feature?

Hopefully, this feature will be even better when passed on through a sound bar.

I want this feature, but also want to use a sound bar.

Hi @Gpaken, I have spoken to our team who have confirmed that this feature will not work when used in conjunction with a soundbar. 

They've mentioned that purchasing a soundbar with AVA built-in as an alternative such as the Q800B or above.

Laura - My wife uses Hearing Aids to hear TV.  She gets the signal via Bluetooth from an electronic device made by the manufacturer of the Hearing Aids.  The sound comes from the TV via an Optical cable (RCA could also be used).

We are impressed by what we have read about Samsung's AVA feature.  In reading the above post, my question to you is similar to it.  "Will the impact of the AVA feature being turned on show up on a device that gets its TV sound via an optical audio cable from that Samsung TV?"
