TV & AudioHi,
My TV has installed some kind of adware by itself without my input. Every time I turn it on it begins to play bloomberg which I find very bothersome, there is also an ad in the apps menu now. This is extremely annoying and I don't see how it could be part of a firmware update as they are meant to improve functionality and security, not add bloatware.
There are also a number of applications the TV will not allow me to remove listing them as "core apps" such as foxtel, amazon prime and other junk.
How do I remove all of this unwanted garbage from my television and prevent it from coming back?
Thanks

TV & AudioHi @coffeemonster, I'm sorry to hear that you're not enjoying your television experience.
Samsung is continuously developing and enhancing the experience we provide through our Smart TVs. Samsung currently works with content providers to offer recommendations that seek to help our customers explore the latest content options and services. These recommendations appear alongside other content streaming options only when navigating the Smart TV app menu. If you would like more information on this, please see here: https://www.samsung.com/au/support/tv-audio-video/samsung-smart-tv-sponsored-tiles/
If you're having issues with the Freeview info bar after your latest update, please see here: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tvs/return-button-not-working-for-previous-channel/m-p/10318410
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with, @coffeemonster.

TV & AudioI’ve found the perfect solution to the ads problem: an apple tv device! No ads at all, bypass the smart tv interface altogether.
For when a tv made by apple?
