TV & AudioHi guys,
Hope you can help me out here.
I linked smart things to Google Home, but the assistant doesn't seen to recognise the names of the Samsung devices when giving voice commands.
It keeps responding with 'Now try and say it with the name in the device in it'.
To be able to play music through a voice command on our soundbar, I had to add it again as a separate device via Bluetooth (so now it's sitting in Google Home twice, via smartthings and separately).
Is the integration just buggy, or is there a way to sort this?
Hope you have some advice to solve this.
Cheers,
Jez

I don't currently use Home but I found it picky. Sometimes a key word is needed. Have you tried variants such as "open device" then device name. To open apps I had to say "open app ...app name", but then it didn't go further after opening.

Thanks mate, unfortunately no luck with that. Do you use something else for voice commands?

Not at the moment. I broke voice command sometime ago in Google Assistant and after trying to fix it couldn't be bothered. Still works in Office 365 Word. BTW Google dictation in Docs is significantly better than Office with better editing features.

Have you tried to unlink and relink the smartthings in your Google Home Assistant?
