The Alexa functionality of this soundbar does not seem to fully work. I've seen the youtube reviews for the 950A and its supposed to have Alexa built in. It even says on the box. I've set it up in the Alexa app and the Smarthings app, and linked them, but saying 'Alexa' does nothing. It never wakes up. I've reset the device and set it up 2 times, same result.
How do I get the wake word to work with the built-in microphone?
This post states compatibility with Alexa is 'works with', not 'built in' for the HW-Q950A. This means that the Soundbar is compatible with the Alexa service, however only receives Alexa voice commands you issue to a separate Alexa device.
The specs on the product page for the HW-Q950A state just "Alexa(works with)" and everywhere else on this page it says the same. Works with, is different from built in.
I have a HW-Q800T and it is the same deal, even though in the specs it is described in more detail (Compatible Amazon Alexa account and device required).
