Hi folks.
Has anyone had issues with the Wifi connection on a Q950A?
Sound bar repeatedly disconnects from the wifi network and has to be reset and re-installed in the smart things app in order to get it working again. Then a few days later it does the same again.
Took it to Samsung’s service agent in Sydney who said they couldn’t find an issue running it on their 2.4GHz network and suggested I try it on a pure 2.4GHz wifi network rather than my TP Link Deco mesh 2.4/5GHz one. I’ve managed to bodge up a 2.4GHz network (as the Deco won’t let you split the frequencies) but it’s still happening. Samsung say it’s my network as they can’t find an issue with it, but nothing else in the house has a connection issue. So I’m stuck with a device that doesn’t work and Samsung won’t replace.
Any recommendations welcome!

Let's clearly, as you have, distinguish the two possibilites.
First, wi-fi.
1. In spite of mesh your wifi signal may be weak. To check this on your phone/tablet load an app called Wi-Fi Analyzer. Wander around the home checking different spots. When next to your Q if the signal is, say, -100Mhz the signal is too weak, if -40Mhz, that is fantastic.
2. Set up your phone as a hotspot (measuring how strong the signal is next to your Q first). If your phone has both 5G and 2.4G test on both.
3. I don't know what internet connection you have, if wireless broadband read the manual and set it to 4G. This is because I had an Optus wireless router/modem which would chop and change between 4G and 5G resulting in the need to restart each day. Even if the chop and changing works for other devices it may break the connection to your Q.
4. Other wi-fi networks may be interfering, the Wi-fi Analyzer will tell you this. If this is the case read the router-manual and change your wi-fi channel to an unused or lightly used channel.
5. Consider whether another device is interfering. Disconnect all other devices and if this works progressively add back each device until you find the culprit.
6. If your router is reasonably new, last few years, read the manual and create a guest network (provided Wi-fi Analyzer tells you the signal strength is adequate) and test with that.
Second, Google Q950A internet problems. There are one or two potential solutions there.

Hi @wibbotson, thanks for reaching out.  Are you able to try the following:

Network (At bottom of soundbar) > Delete device from SmartThings > Connect to new Soundbar network from phone > Add device to Smart Things app.
