Media player now buggy following latest update - GW4/Pixel 7a

Hi all,

I updated my Galaxy Watch 4, and the media player is not longer working properly.  Play/pause and volume control works, but skip forward/skip back does not.  I am using a Pixel 7a but there hasn't been any issues across the platforms until now.

I have tried everything suggested on line (most of it via "Reddit" about 12 months ago when it appears there were similar problems with the update then) and have reset the watch entirely - nothing works.  All permissions have been granted, and all other functions/notifications are working so I don't believe Bluetooth is the issue.  

Any suggestions appreciated (but remember, for a Pixel, not Samsung phone)

Consider a Google search for "compare pixel 7a media players" and, ideally, find one that is in Play Store. Alternatively search tor "best, etc. ...". You might get better results by replacing pixel 7a with "android". In Samsung if you have to install an app not in Play Store you have to change settings to allow software not in Play Store to be downloaded.
