Watch 4 classic enters into a reboot loop when placed on charging cable

Increasingly my watch 4 classic goes into a reboot loop when I placed it on the charging cradle. I have forced reboot the watch and even reset the watch, it's still not helping. I did uninstall Strava app and the watch is now charging. Can third-party apps cause the watch to stop charging? I have been asked to send the watch in.

Yes I got update from Samsung that they are pending parts and so watch will not be returned until parts come in. When I was first informed there was corrosion I didn't ask. I'm also interested to know how can internals corrode unless moisture gets in. Isn't the watch supposed to be water resistant and dust resistant ?

Very strange for a new watch to have its internal components corroded. The only thought that came to my mind is that the seal between the back cover and frame is not secured tightly, hence water could still seep through. Doesn't have to be water splashes. Even our sweat could be a source and has entered unknowingly.

I got back my watch and they had to replace 12 parts all affected by the corrosion. Many of the parts replaced are sensors and the motherboard. However now I'm having an issue that the GPS isn't recording route accurately and overstates distance by more than double the actual distance.

The attached route is usually 2km but it is over 5km now with all the zig zag paths. It looks like I'm also walking over water

Same thing happened to me, tried everything from formatting watch to uninstalling the wearable app still I can't charge the watch so I went to Samsung service centre they said eventhough the watch was still under warranty they won't repair the watch, and the cost to replace the motherboard was around 75% of original price so it's now unusable.

I have a galaxy watch4 46mm and I have the standard apps that come with watch and my watch was doing a backup around 430a and it was downloading as I was leaving my house for work thinking it would finish as I got to work .. in which it did not my watch battery died around 2p the same days .. got home put it on the charger and it went into reboot loop even after it started I then did a hard reboot and it just reboots when I just put it on the charger
