Wearables
I have upgraded to Galaxy Watch 7 from Galaxy Watch 4. Overall very good but a couple of weird things:
1. To use the blood pressure app requires your phone to be Bluetooth connected to the watch. This was not the case with the GW4 which could perform blood pressure measurements without being connected to the GW4. Has anyone experienced this and been able to perform blood pressure measurements without having your phone connected to the GW7? If so, how did you get it to work?
2. If I turned off all health monitoring and set my GW4 to sleep mode (including do not disturb and flight mode) then all green lights on the back of the Watch stayed off during the night while in bed. On my GW7, I do the same thing but the green lights on the back of the watch do come on when I am moving in bed. This lights up the room, wakes me up, and my partner isn't happy either. I need to wear the watch for the alarm so if anyone been able to stop the green lights coming on overnight please let me know.
Thanks for any help.
Alan

WearablesI came here to ask the first question. I have version 5 of the watch. And this is a new permission it has asked for today. Used the heart app yesterday, fine. Today, I need to allow it to seen nearby devices. What the ***?
But I'm also interested to hear answers to your second question. I can't wear my watch in bed because of the green light. You turn over and get a facefull of bright light!

Hi! I too have the super awesome watch 7. So I have found the fit app and health app read 24/7 for you if set to automatic if you change this to not automatically read, it doesn't have the lights remember though the sleep monitoring also as this will monitor at night naturally and the lights show.
As for the blood pressure you can use the manual entry which requires you to take a baseline using a alternative measuring such as a doctor's or nurses reading then it calibrates and when you use the fit etc apps it does the readings on comparison to this initial reading again not using Bluetooth it uses Bluetooth to connect to you're other devices so that the readings are uploaded automatically across them so if you don't wish to have this feature then there is no need to use Bluetooth. You can just have the readings on you're watch and when you turn Bluetooth on is when you can be prompted to upload recordings.
It's actually a very clever wee watch I love it, it gives you full control and ease of use between devices and freedom to have readings uploaded or not. The only down fall I would say is the music is a bit too quiet and awful when not using my buds. But otherwise a few more strap options and face plate options would be super awesome. Girls like colors that aren't army green and white sport, some of us like rose gold, pinks, purples, orange even now RED would be so pleasing for me and Valentine's is coming up so somewhat romantically fitting Samsung 😊 hint hint.
