Thank you. I'm asking because my phone's battery is not so good. I've been wanting to do a factory reset, I decided to wait it out until the update is here, then I was thinking I'll just do it then.🙂 I can't wipe cache partition because unfortunately I have no access to a PC or laptop right now. I tried using just the AKG earphones because for others it worked, it didn't.

There is no merit to factory reset after or before OS update, plus its a hassle cause you need to backup and restore all your files and apps, install them again, remove bloatwares again and set up the settings you want again. Some people do it cause they experience some bugs or errors with the new updated OS.

If you want a fresh experience with your new updated OS or you experience a bug or error, then do it, if you don't want the hassle of setting up all stuffs again and everything is fine then think twice before doing a factory reset.

If you plan to factory reset, I suggest you do it after the new OS, One UI 4.0 Android 12, is successfully installed, not before 😁

In the end its on you my brada it will usally almost have no difference, when you hard reset (factory reset) the OS update and version will be saved and not be deleted, soo its just what you prefer to do
