Am I the only one experiencing this?

I have a Galaxy S9, I handed it to my son for him to keep after I got my my new phone, but he's saying that it keeps randomly showing a pop-up for the 'latest chat features'. I decude to put the phone number and press Continue, but its there the next day. That day I press the Skip button, but the next day, there's my son, complaining about the pop-up again. Am I the only one who gets this, and is there a way to stop it? This started a few months ago, and I finally decided to post about it.

Hey if you go into messages then press the 3 dots on the top right go to the settings then click on chat settings then see if chat features are on or off if on turn off hopefully that helps your issue

Are you using Samsung messages? If you update that to the latest version it should stop happening as Samsung has discontinued those chat services

Yeah download google messages

Backup messages using Samsung switch if needed.

Then clear data and cache of the app then update to latest from play store or galaxy store.

I personally use Google messages with rcs. The carrier needs to confirm on their end as well for the connection to succeed. Does the issue go away on a different sim/device ? There was a recent news article on samsung phones being blocked by carriers. It's this phone on that list?
