Essentially yes, possibly by buying from Samsung's on line store. Then trading in by using Asurion. Unfortunately Asurion are not a good company to deal with. On main Community page, top right, use the search option for Asurion. Read as many cautionary posts as you can as some comment on ways to rake care. Also on the main Samsung Australia website look for trade-in comments. Some models are given a trade-in value, possibly depending on quality of trade-in. https://samsungtradeup.asurion.com.au

If your current phone has VoLTE then a second hand store might give you a better price given the current market situation.Rather than submit your phone, given a price downgrade and not get your phone back.

From or what I've seen the Asurion trade-in are not worth it.
they offer too little and always seem to be broken down to the minimum price.
For the prices they're offering it's a effectively trash disposal not a trade in imo

I haven't explored but there are a number of different sources to buy or sell old phones, including Gumtree but that has some scammers in it.

Yes you can, but they hold that credit on a credit card until the device is received and verified as described. Many people have had the devices graded lower and hence gotten less than the quoted trade value.
I had no issue with doing it last year, when purchasing online, got the quoted value.
