Going to say that the device I have which is a Galaxy Tab S8 ultra, it does what I want it to do.

However very disapointed in samsung customer service and the way that customers are treated.

Since getting the device i have noticed that updates come at random. where I am located in australia we see things like the update to 5.1.1 but didn't get the update until over a month later.

I thought I had lost my S-Pen so went to many places in my state only to be told that as the tab S9 is coming/out that the S8/S7 pen was no longer available. I even contacted a repair agent that said that they couldn't get it or would have to order something in that would take a month.
because of some things I have heard, I thought that the S9 S-Pen might work. So I contact customer service to ask if it was compatible. have been told that due to the S7/S8 pen is not available in the store, they would send me one. that was over 2 months ago.

and lastly, i'm still waiting for the OneUI 6 update. now I understand we rstand that we had to wait for Google to finish android 14. But now that it's out, we don't even have a date when OneUI will even come out. This is a flagship device.

I will say at least with another company, when an update comes out its out for all devices world wide same day.

*** Australians can't even go on developer beta accounts.

Again, great device but so disapointed.

There are several posts identifying update timing for european updates that are a helpful in terms of estimating timing of updates, noting from commencement that they take place over several weeks. On the Community page, top right, there is a search button. Use this to search "updates" and possibly "updates schedule". Bear in mind that even for one device timing might vary as it varies depending on provider, etc. due to checking compatability. Note s23 updates have started and some other updates are coming through (see search referred to above).

I have recently found something listed for australia about updates from one of our carriers. But again coming from a device that world wide on the same day, has all of their devices updated. It does get frustrating.

But still doesn't solve

- unable to get in to developer / beta due to my location
- when a main device stops being sold, you can't get accessories for previous devices from official channels
- official channels saying they will do something and they don't.

The Tab series are on quarterly updates, which is why you got the 5.1.1 update at this time.
