New Mobile purchase - ID upload issue when completing Trade-In mobile option

Hi All

I am going through the process of ordering a new mobile phone with the trade-in option. 

When I am going through the checkout process, it takes me to add in detail for the trade-in. I am trying to upload my Australian drivers licence. 

It is horizontal. It is clear. I've tried JPG and JPEG, I have tried in chrome, edge and on my mobile. I've tried cropping it to just be a picture of my licence and also left it as is on a black background. 

Each time I get the same error, "Invalid ID detected. Please delete and re-upload ID documents. 

(I do not have a passport as alternative) 

please help! over the last 24 hours my trade in value has dropped $25 and I really would like a new phone :)

Increase mobile brightness and light in the room.

Then, keep trying until it's happy with the image.

This will take a few attempts.

If, the mobile is two years or less old, it is best to sell independently.

Asurion are produxt evaluation scamers on a watchlist and will most likely offer a 10th of the RRP value.

You are quoted 4th hand value initially.

normally would not bother with a trade-in but they are also giving a $250 bonus on top :)

True. I did that too. I got $15 for Samsung Flip 4 Trade-in.

The only way I got it to work was to take a photo of my hand holding the license within the shop app transaction, uploading from gallery did not work.
