I am having trouble with this Samsung device Keyboard. It is behaving erratically such that it refuses to type some letters when touching them. I have to type the letter positively to get it to type. The letter P is a real issue. It often won't type while I touch it several times and it eventually works. The same goes for the backspace key. Any ideas please how I fix this very irritating issue

Google "samsung keyboard sensitivity"
Also check whether your keyboard tapping is central by opening keyboard and choosing a particular key and tapping in different places on the key. Bear in mind the ends of different fingers may tap off central. My right index finger is warped and the right top corner of the finger is what hits the key first.
I don't have an answer for the 'p' problem but borrow a bluetooth keyboard and test if the problem occurs on that.
