I have a Samsung endurance pro 128GB SD card that I put in my hallway webcam. People probably walk past it doesn't times a day. After a year it has stopped working and it doesn't times a day. After a year it has stopped working and you format even in a computer.
Trying to get an RMA but the problem is they want me to take a photo of the serial number on the back. The serial number is black tiny text on the black back part of the SD card. There is no way to read it and my Samsung Galaxy S21 camera cannot capture the numbers either.
If you use any other brand you will know that to fit a long serial number on the back of a MicroSD card they are very small letters and most brands will print white on the black back. Somehow Samsung thought it would be more cool to print black on black. Why?
WWhat's worse is after explaining this to the support people all they do is ask me if I could take a picture that shows the number. It's like talking to a brick wall. I'm sure chat gpt could answer better.

If you want to try photo again, first create a stable platform so camera doesn't have to deal with my hand vibrations. For close work I rest the phone/camera on top of a glass making sure the camera view doesn't include the glass. I can increase height by putting coasters and other things like dishes to include height. Try using both flash and no flash to capture image. Try using other apps to increase image size, like Magnifier. If any app offers other image options like saving as pdf or jpg, etc. use tiff. Try side light to reduce reflection.0. Finally as I am not an expert google things like samsung photoing tiny text. If you have access to Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) learn the settings to choose maximum pixels and, again, TIFF. A flatbed scanner (not phone) is likely to be best.

I'm in this is just a very ridiculous example because if you just gave me the SD card and I looked on the back I wouldn't even know there is text on it. Frankly the camera also has trouble focusing and I can't find any macro mode which used to be on my other old Android phone. So in the end I could only do it from about hands length away and you can kind of see their stuff on there but no way you can read it.

I mentioned the app Magnifier. I actually prefer the Camera option. I think in Camera photo (make sure photo is selected, not video and not accidentally in selfie mode) do the two fingers, move apart to increase image size. Acknowledging camera focusing as a problem, use a glass to fix distance then try the finger solution.. Try flash off, good lighting. i assure you I have done this myself on tiny writing such as pill bottles.
