So I just got two new screen protectors for my Samsung S21 ultra and the first one i threw in the garbage because it had that fingerprint punchout hole and it would get a weird tone/smudge(?) In it and today I got a new one and its the same thing.

The fingerprint doesn't really work well even with that hole and well, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with tempered glass screen protectors,if they manage to make it more of a pleasent experience and, of course, if it's preferable that i just get a plastic screen protector instead.

Also, forgot to mention but yeah, it doesn't cover the entirety of the screen either. 😭

Try Whitestone dome protector, it works with the fingerprint

Yeah it's really annoying, if I don't go with the whitestone one I might just have to go with plastic because at least it shouldn't have the fingerpring cut out, be more sensitive and have the fingerprint sensor working properly 🙄

You might want to try vinyl rap roughly it's about AUD $50 well worth it. In the past I had terrible experience from all sorts of protections unable to read finger print.

Yeah I might but honestly, I'm pretty good when it comes to not dropping my phone so I think for me it's just protection against scratches really, might just go with plastic as well

I know another user here has already suggested using a Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector. It does not have a cutout however it works perfectly on my S20+

This is just my own personal experience, your milage may vary.
