Hey Samsung, why are we not getting the same volume of regular software updates that other countries are getting?
My Samsung galaxy s20 has the July update, yet there was a September update AND the October update is already out in US and Korea!
Why are we paying more for these phones in Australia, and receiving a worse experience?

This rings true for the beta program as well. As I previously posted, Australia is left off the One UI 4.0 Beta AGAIN.

It's odd you're still on the July software, as there is definitely a September update release for your phone. Build DUH5.

As for the One Ui 4 / Android 12 beta, there could many reasons, such as no dedicated staff to manage the program here.
I also suspect that, since Australia belongs to the OXM group, in terms of firmware, there is already several countries from the same group that are part of the beta, so it might be deemed unnecessary?
Also, perhaps Samsung Australia hasn't been approached before, until I raised it a month or 2 ago..

In any case, the beta program this year is only being run on the S21 series.

Hi all, thank you for posting your concerns and questions about device updates.

These software updates are rolled out gradually by region and provider due to variations in the device models. When the updates are completed, they are then modified to suit the software of the country, and then the provider.

As for One UI Beta testing, we have passed on the interest shown through various threads internally to the relevant department.

Hope this clarifies things.

I also had problems with the software, but I think that this is due to the fact that I applied to a not very reliable company. I wanted to save money, didn't understand what qa vs testing is, in the end, I work with another company that tests software with high quality so that I don't face errors and bugs in my work.

Try pluging your device into your pc and updating it via smart switch that's what worked for me

Couldn't agree more . Absolutely we paying alot and getting a backhand here .. samsung we small in population in a big country. But we got deep pockets. So give us the best and in sync with the rest we deserve it we are always ahead of time then America so why give them the update first we would like and demand the opportunity to get it first it's only fair we are a day ahead of the states so we in a default way deserve it first . Think of it as a test if something isn't working u got few hrs to fix it ahh .. Aussie Aussie Aussie

To understand whether it is worth doing a software update, you should find out what is worth doing for this. I often turn to the dedicated software team to help me with this in order to protect myself and the environment. To be honest, I contacted them four times and did not regret it at all, since they have more than fifteen years of experience.
