I used my s22 ultra as tradein to order a galaxy s23 just a couple of weeks ago, 2 days later I heard the s24 was coming out, so i called samsung and they let me cancel that order and everything was returned and refunded and seemed fine, great so far, so i tried to order the s24 on the release date and it is not letting me use my existing phone's IMEI number, i am getting the error in the subject.

Have been trying samsung support who say they can't help and asurion hasn't responded at all despite several emails and messages since last week.

Does samsung support read these forums still? Or anyone have suggestions of what to try?

This just got better, asurion just charged me a $60 late return fee, despite the order being cancelled and having an open query with them since last week, the only option to "contact" them takes me back to the same already open and unanswered query.

I'm facing the same issue, Asurion isn't responding to any of my emails, and I'm yet to get back my security amount refunded.
Just curious if your issue ever got resolved?

Call your bank and open a dispute on the charge

i finally got a response to an email I sent to Samsung-tradeup_inquiries@asurion.com that was 10 days ago, they requested I send them a copy of the cancellation / refund from Samsung which I did and again no response, IMEI is still locked, one day left, i contacted samsung last week, they say they're "escalating it", haven't heard back from them either.

In the asurion portal it does say this, but that was the  9th of January and I don't have my money back yet

Hi. I'm having a similar issue. Call samsung and report issue and ask them to escalate. Also if asurion have withdrawn money from your account. Call your bank and report fraud as they are not operating legally. Look at online reviews/reports
