Worst unpacked ever

I was watching the Unpacked last night and I don't know if you those who watched it, noticed that there were times, multiple times, when the presenter said something and waited for a cheer from the crowd and they didn't get any and then the crowd sensed the silence and cheers for them.

The problem was that last nights unpacked didn't have anything new, yes except for the Ring, but it looked like a rip-off Apple event. Watch Ultra, that's Apple right there. The exact same spec sheet, the double pinch gesture control, yes they didn't speak about it because they knew it would officially mean they're copying Apple. The fact that there was no in between model, a Classic or a Pro? That's pathetic.

Moving on to the buds, I loved Samsung for giving me Buds like Live(Bean Shaped), the Buds Pro, 2 Pro, the fact that they gave us a sleek design and sooooo tiny that they can not be noticed, I loved that. But here we go, Buds 3 series and it's Apple again. I hate the stem design, I just do.

Moving to Fold and Flip, these 2 are single handedly the most un-upgraded devices of all time. Tell me honestly what is new about these phones, leave apart anything that is AI and Google, that is all software, nothing ground-breaking innovation about that. Yes the fold is slim and light but what else? Where are the flagship cameras, the S Pen slot all the important features that we've been asking for? And the flip, don't get me started they have been marketing the same old feature about the flexcam with this one. I'm sure it got a camera upgrade and battery bump but what else? 

Honestly, I am a guy who used to buy at least one product in each and every unpacked event, I've used every S series phones, Tabs since S7, watches since S2, buds since Buds Live and this will be the first time I won't be buying anything, because there's nothing to buy. I can't buy the Ultra that monster is a 47mm watch and it won't suit me at all on my wrist, so where is the smaller version? Buds 3 pro don't have what said "SAMSUNG" and I'd rather keep my buds 2 pro. 

Also I forgot to mention one of the most important things. Does anybody remember "Bixby"? Ever since the SamsungxGoogle partnership got stronger, Samsung just forgot about their own Digital Assistant. I am one of the few people who believes that Bixby is such a POWERFUL tool and yet it hasn't been improved or talked about since its launch. With Samsung talking about Galaxy AI all the live long day, why not spend some efforts and money to integrate Bixby with that AI, it would have been such an amazing thing to watch it work. Gemini is a Google product, they say its deeply integrated with the Google Apps, what about Samsung Apps and 3rd party apps? Moreover, Gemini requires a Google One 2tb + Premium subscription on a monthly basis to get all the "integration features" to work. What about that?

I appreciate all the hard work the engineers and designers and developers have done but this is not Samsung. If Samsung is reading this, please keep this in mind.

Yeahh makes sense apple has always been ahead with the hardware. It was just the lack of features but honestly now that they're getting a bit open to give features it's not much of a difference

True. The only thing holding iOS back was level of customisation and now thats changed as well.

Also them specially mentioning that a frickin 400 US$ ring doesn't need a subscription to do its only job like they're doing a super big favour or something is soo funny

That was like the worst thing they could have done. Pricing a ring at $400, which doesnt even do half the things that a watch can. That is irritating.

It's great that they do events , but they aren't for the the customers it's for journalists and PR, it's a lot of money in an event I just wish they put some of that towards existing customers. I think the issue is the people who organise the events don't actually use the phones. I'm not sure, I was underwhelmed by the event. They paid 9 news for example to go to Paris, which basically is paid advertising, events not really for the fans like us, they paid iphone users ro attend. I'm sticking to my s24ultra .

True that. I use S23 ultra and I didn't feel like upgrading to 24 because at the end all those features were supposed to hit 23 anyway and I thought maybe I'll upgrade to fold6 later, but turns out not at worth the price bump and no major upgrades anyways. If S25 isn't going to be a good upgrade, I'm switching to iPhone.

And yes the paid advertisement isn't necessary for a company so big, the money could have been put to better R&D.

The 15pro max dominates the s23ultra in daylight hdr video, screen brightness etc, but the s24ultra I'd take over the iPhone 15 pro max any day , hands on its limited and infuriating as someone who loves taking photos and video. Yeah s23 no point going to s24 really unless you wanted that 50mp zoom which I have a love hate relationship with overall zoom at night worth it for me. Going to interesting with ios 18 of they update camera app samsung could have lost its major and rarely talked about advantages. We like being different why we don't like samsung trying to look like Apple but when you pay Apple users to use products and advertise them you lose your identity. We going to loose a lot of android people to ios18 :(

Not saying 23ultra is best just not worth upgrading to 24ultra. For me the 10x optical zoom lens is rather important. I saw it as a downgrade when they shifted to 5x optical zoom with 50mp sensor. But its just about preference after all.

Samsung's camera app is so interesting with a lot of uniques features but they got unspoken about after their initial launch. They could improve so much of that and yet they dont.

I actually missed it and just got the 15 second news version and was so uninspired I didn't even bother to go watch it like I normally would.
