Galaxy A
I know this phone is ancient now according to Samsung, and I know even when it was new, it wasn't the best, but it is still a decent phone. My point is, this phone was updated in other markets back in December and has since received security patches through January. Yet here in Australia it has not been updated since 22 November. It's now February.
I know it's not gospel, buts it's one of the few avenues for information we can get access to, but Vodafone's updates page said 6.0 was "rolling out soon" 2 weeks ago and i still havent seen or heard anyone recieve it.
To be honest, im not all that bothered by the one ui update. To me all I see is some new fonts and the quick access buttons are rearranged. Most of the cool features wont be available to my phone, so I don't particularly care that much about that aspect of the update.
What I am a little concerned about is my last security patch I received was 1 November. At this point, and if I had received all security patches I was supposed to the A52 5g would no longer qualify for monthly updates. It's just too old now. But I should have been updated until January like others have been in other markets.
Does anybody at all have some sort of clue about why this is the case. What kind of issues could be present to delay a security update for a couple of months?
In light of all the S22 users who had to wait months for their update with no acknowledgement from Samsung I'm seriously not expecting a definitive answer. But an indicative idea would be better than nothing.
