What's the best way to backup everything on my mobile. I've used google for pics but what about email attachments and texts. My phones freezing so need to make sure I don't loose everything. Tks.
I confirm smartswitch. In addition, if the freezing isn't too frequent, go to settings, and search for backups, if Google is there you can backup there too. It may be worthwhile doing it a little at a time in case it freezes mid-backup (you can select what to backup each time). Samsung backup listed there is a last resort as it doesn't backup everything. Do it after Google backup as every little helps. Don"t backup to sim card as that is likely to be wiped during repair. Also Google search for freezing in case you can fix the problem.
Much appreciated, I don't want to lose my stuff esp photos, emails, text etc..will it back up my messages that have attachments.. so far touch wood phones only freezing 10times a day... Looks like I'm going to have to send phone back for service don't think it has anything to do with update... thankyou
I have found it difficult to backup messages, especially given different apps. You will have to Google this yourself using, obviously, back up messages (adding your app name), also look up exporting, saving. I currently have my message app linked on two devices using software to link my phone to my tablet (wifi only model), complicated to explain. I suspect that if I delete it on my phone I will lose it all as that is where the app was originally loaded, perhaps not.. Phones sent for service are wiped as per Samsung advice. Check your current message settings to make sure old messages are kept and not automatically deleted after a certain number of days.
Do please Google for Samsung freezes frequently and try solutions after backups are done.
Thanks thats a great idea using my tablet for backup of messages. I've tried everything to fix the freezing issue. Phone has ample memory, no new apps, I've even done a reset but it's still doing it. I've just made sure emails dont get wiped and found a app to do a SMS backup and restore. Just a **bleep** nuisance. Tks
