No app is exempt to failing, and that includes the camera app that comes by default on every Android device. There will come a time when the Android camera crashes and will give us some kind of problem, but the good news is that there are methods you can try to fix it.
Most of the time it’s a hit-and-miss game when trying to repair the camera app, but the methods you can try are so simple, even a beginner can do them. Don’t forget to save this tutorial for future reference since you never know when you or a friend might need it.
How to Fix “Unfortunately Camera Has Stopped Working”
I’m sure you’ve already tried the basics, such as closing the camera app and waiting thirty seconds before you start it up again. If that didn’t work, you might have also tried rebooting your Android device since sometimes that’s all you need.
Have you tried clearing the camera’s cache files? If not, you can do so by following the below steps.
Open “Settings” on your Android deviceTap on “Applications -> Application Manager”From the drop-down menu, make sure that you’ve chosen “All Apps”Find the camera app and open itTap “Force Stop”Tap on “Storage -> Clear Cache”
The cache files will be instantly deleted, and the space it was taking up will be gone. Try to open the camera again, and hopefully it will work.
