Have only purchased A52 5G device four or so months ago. Awesome phone!

Dissapointed in the new Android 12 update. I should have stuck with Android 11.

Android 12 drains the battery so fast on my device now - yes I've done all the troubleshooting.

PLEASE Samsung/Android - please create a patch or update that fixes battery consumption on Android 12.

Anyone else having issues with Android 12 on their device ?

Please comment your thoughts.

Good day @BTCoi: sorry to hear you have issues with battery 🔋 drain for Android 12 update in your A52.

There are at least 6 posts here in the community about battery drain and tips and tricks to help.

Sometimes, your phone needs to optimise apps so as to save battery 🔋.

🔋 battery is drain because something is eating it up. Sorry to hear. I know you said you have followed and tried a lot of trouble shooting 🔫. Ok. The below trick I'm about to suggest to you works. I hope it works out for you.

Warning ⚠️: for advanced users only: backup absolutely 💯 everything 😀.

Let skip all the basic tricks and head to advanced stuff.

1. With few buttons combinations, boot to Device default recovery Mode.
2. There will be a lot of things using your up and downs volume 🔑 key and select wipe devices system cache file . Confirm with your power 🔑 🗝 key.
3. This will wipe the unnecessary file of all apps and files in your device. Thanks to Samsung for the features.

4. Using volume up and down 🔑 key, boot back to system. It will optimise all your apps and save a lot more battery.

5. Now, the phone is boot to normal Android, head to battery, and manual put unused apps to deep sleep. Warning ⚠️, some apps may not get notifications.

By doing this little trick, it will save you a lot of battery 🔋. This trick always works.

I hope you fine success 🙌 🙂 ☺️ 🤗 🙏

Note: I have been programming apps, software, fixing phones, and computers for many years. This stuff works, and if you follow through carefully, you won't brick your device 😉.

Thank you very much for your post. Let's help 🙏 everyone as much as we can 🤠 🤠.

Yep, I've done all that - no change.

Samsung/Android please release a patch or update that improves battery consumption.

It has changed drastically from Android 11 to Android 12 software.

Hi @BTCoi.

If troubleshooting was unable to resolve your issues, I suggest sending an error report via the Samsung Members app for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

this is happening to my device (Galaxy Z Flip) after the update to Android 12 / One UI 4 as well. Its not helpful when people say turn on battery saving or optimise your apps - they were working fine on Android 11!

The advice that topped it was during a remote session with one of the Samsung engineers, they said my phone has a lot of apps and i should uninstall some! Isn't that what a smartphone is supposed to be? plus that not all my apps are open at one time & it was working fine in Android 11. I must have missed the annoucement that you can't have loads of apps installed on Android 12!

Very dissapointing. Yes I agree with your point, why should we need to uninstall applications - smartphones should handle battery consumption better when software updates are included and in general. I hope Samsung/Android releases a patch or update to improve battery usage/life.
